Adel Kauzman, BDS, DMD, MSc, FRCD(C)

Dr. Adel Kauzman is a specialist in Oral Medicine and in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. He graduated from Université de Montréal in 1998. He completed his specialty training at the University of Toronto in 2004, where he obtained a Master degree of Sciences. His research was oriented towards understanding of the molecular biology of specific bone tumours.

Dr. Kauzman is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He is also an examiner for the College since 2007.

Dr. Kauzman is an Associate Professor and Adjunct to the Dean for admissions at the Faculty of Dentistry of Université de Montréal. He was Head of the Oral Diagnosis and Emergency clinic of the Faculty. He established an Oral Pathology Biopsy Service in 2004 within the Faculty. He is affiliated with the Notre-Dame Hospital of the Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM) where he treats patients suffering from malignant and premalignant lesions of the oral cavity within a practice dedicated to teaching residents and undergraduate students.

Dr. Kauzman has been in an active practice of Oral Medicine for more than 10 years where he treated patients with a variety of oral mucosal lesions and diseases. He also treats patients suffering from pain and temporomandibular joint disorders. The microscopic diagnosis of biopsies submitted to the Oral Pathology Biopsy Service is also part of Dr. Kauzman’s practice.
